Conditions I Treat

& Rolfing® Benefits

  • Chronic Pain

Chronic pain often is a result of unresolved physical or emotional injury. It can be hard to clear because of the compensatory patterns that get locked in to avoid opening old wounds. My approach is unique because it deals with not only the symptoms but also the patterns that limit us. The types of results people can expect when working to resolve chronic pain are often pain relief, increased ease in movement, energy, and freedom from old narratives.

  • True Balance Rolfing Helps sports Injuries

    Sports Injuries

Sports injuries often develop from overuse and/or impact. They can often be challenging to work with because athletes want and need to get back to their sports as soon as possible, oftentimes not allowing for a full cycle of healing. My approach is different because we will work toward structural integration and better efficiency of movement across the whole system. Receiving regular work can act as tune ups for athletes to stay in optimum functioning to avoid injuries. This work is also valuable for kids and teenagers who participate in team sports.

  • True Balance Rolfing Supports Optimized Aging

    Optimized Aging

Research has proven that fascia thickens with age, leading to a reduction in joint mobility. Although structural misalignments like scoliosis or kyphosis are harder to change as people age, Rolfing® can help improve fascial hydration, range of motion, balance and overall functioning. When you maintain flexibility and balanced musculature, and learn how to move in the best ways for your body, you can decrease pain and increase vitality, improving your quality of life at any age.

  • TrueBalance Rolfing Helps Repetitive Stress Injuries

    Repetitive Stress Injuries

Repetitive stress injuries are extremely common. We sit more, exercise more intensely over short periods of time less frequently, and spend less time researching what is possible in our movement. The exercise we do also tends to be repetitive. Rolfing looks at the movement patterns and imbalances across the whole body. For instance someone with carpal tunnel from typing all day will have strain through the nerve pathways of the hand, forearm, upper arm and scapulae. Working with the whole shoulder girdle provides longer lasting relief.
